EGR Office
This office is the first stop for high school students and parents
interested in knowing more about UW-Madison's engineering program. It
is also the advising home for all first-year engineering students. The
office administers outreach programs including SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration) and ESTEAM (Engineering Saturdays for Tomorrow's Engineers at Madison).

Transfer Student Services
The admissions coordinator can assist with questions by
on-campus transfer students, off-campus transfer students (foreign and
domestic), re-entry students, second-degree candidates, and engineering
special students. The coordinator is particularly helpful at clarifying
general admissions information for transfer and re-entry students.

Counseling Service
The counseling service is available at no cost to engineering students
because it is easier to concentrate on studies if you can deal
effectively with personal, academic, and career concerns. Talking
with someone who is objective and empathic can help you sort through
your concerns.

International Engineering Studies and Programs
This office administers the college's international study and work
programs in countries around the world, including Japan, Germany,
France, Norway, England, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Chile, Mexico, Israel
and Australia. It also serves as a central point of contact and
coordination for the college's various international activities.

Engineering Career Services (ECS)
This office annually arranges 12,000+ interviews between prospective
employers and graduating engineering students at all degree
levels. While most interviewing occurs from late September through
November, and again from early February through April, Engineering
Career Services is pleased to provide recruiting and candidate
availability information to employers year-round.

Co-op Education & Internship Program
Co-ops and internships are coordinated efforts between the College of
Engineering and industrial, governmental and consulting
employers. These programs provide opportunities for full-time,
supervised, paid engineering experience. Co-op work terms are
interspersed with full-time undergraduate engineering
study. Internships for undergraduate and graduate students occur
during the summer.

Kurt F. Wendt Library (KFW)
Wendt Library serves all engineering departments, as well as the
Departments of Statistics, Computer Sciences, and Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. It has an extensive collection of journals, books,
government documents, websites, specifications and standards,
technical reports and patents. The library can also borrow or acquire
materials requested by students and faculty from international and
national sources. It enables remote electronic access to indexes of
journal literature and to many full-text electronic journals. It
provides consultation, instruction, electronic document delivery and
updates on the current engineering and science literature.

Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE)
CAE provides students with access to a broad range of computing
systems, software applications and consulting services. UNIX and
Windows NT systems are available through the CAE instructional
network. Document scanning and laser and color printing are also
available. CAE installs and services the networking systems used by
college faculty, researchers and administration.
