All EGR students are advised at Engineering General Resources. Freshmen and sophomores planning to enter the department are also welcome to meet with Prof. Regina Murphy or Ms. Gatzke. Once accepted, students are assigned advisors and alternate advisors, who are available by appointment. Students may ask questions and make appointments by telephone or email. A mandatory advising week is scheduled once a semester prior to registration for the following semester. An advising handbook and curriculum guide are available outside Room 2035 Engineering Hall. Curriculum information is also available on the Web (www.engr.wisc.edu/che/current/undergrad). All students are encouraged to participate in the student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
