Nuclear Engineering

Administered by the Department of Engineering Physics

All EGR students are advised at the EGR Office. EGR students are also invited to consult with the department chair about nuclear engineering.

Sophomores through seniors with an NE classification are assigned advisors by class standing and last name. That advisor is retained throughout your undergraduate career. Upon graduation, your advisor will certify that you have met the BS degree requirements.

Most advisors are available on a walk-in basis. The department chair sees undergraduates when their respective advisors are unavailable. To change advisors during the school year, consult the department chair.

Note: All NE students are required to see an advisor before registering.

The department has programs for recognizing outstanding students — the Distinguished Scholars and the Scholars Programs — offering increased flexibility in allowed coursework. For more information, contact the department office.

Advising information contact: Pat Arnold, 144 Engineering Research Building, 608/263-7038, pmarnold@engr.wisc.edu
