Our office provides guidance and support to underrepresented students and women in the College of Engineering. The department provides a variety of programs and services that are designed to enhance the cultural, educational and personal development of all students within the college.
The Diversity Affairs Office is committed to supporting and expanding the College of Engineering's efforts to recruit, retain and graduate more underrepresented students. DAO, working in partnership with many departments and offices campus-wide, is committed to developing and implementing programs that help all students reach their academic, career, and personal goals.

We congratulate Andrew Elizondo for being one of the 2009 Alliant Energy Erroll B. Davis, Jr. Achievement Award recipients. This award annually honors outstanding scholarship and community service of undergraduate students from traditionally underrepresented minority groups pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering at UW-Madison and UW-Platteville. Andrew is a senior majoring in Engineering Mechanics and plans to graduate this May.
