Cost
ESP is free to all participants. You are responsible for transportation costs to and from Madison and for your own spending money. A $500 stipend will be granted to each participant upon successful completion of the program.
Application
Apply using this application form. Applications will be accepted starting February 1, 2012.
The deadline to apply is April 6, 2012. Applicants will be notified in writing.
Please read all items carefully. Incomplete information may delay processing of your application. Include ALL supporting documentation with your application. Be sure to fill out all areas of the application.
A complete application includes:

Completed application form

Personal essay — a one-to-two-page(s) typed essay responding to the questions on the application form

A full official transcript — provided by your school office

Please obtain two letters of recommendation, one from a math teacher and one from a science teacher.

Non-refundable $30 application fee. Please make the check out to Engineering Summer Program and write “application fee” in the memo section.
PLEASE NOTE: The application fee may be waived if your family is eligible for free or reduced price lunch and in other special circumstances. Please contact us if you would like to request an application fee waiver.
