Summer Collegiate Experience
The Summer Collegiate Experience (SCE) is a campus-wide program designed for admitted first-year students. Participants in SCE are involved in a unique orientation program the summer before beginning their first year at the University. The Summer Collegiate Experience has three main goals:
-
To help students make the transition from high school to college level instruction and study.
-
To introduce students to academic support staff and facilities on campus that can help them to achieve personal and professional goals.
-
To assist students in adjusting to university life and to the social and cultural environment and community.
The objective of SCE is to provide a quality academic experience that introduces students to the type of instructional demands they will encounter during the fall semester.
