Withdrawal from the University

A student might need to withdraw from the university for personal, health or academic reasons. This can be done before the 12th week of classes by completing a withdrawal form available in 1150 Engineering Hall. Semester grades are then listed on the transcript as a W. If this form is not filed, all semester grades revert to F's. Withdrawals are rarely permitted after the 12th week of class and only with the dean's permission. Refunds are issued for the regular semester as follows:

First and second weeks of classes — 100% refund
Third and fourth weeks of classes — 50% refund
After fourth week — No refund

See the cover of the current Timetable for exact dates. Class weeks are not always Monday through Friday.

For the refund schedule during summer sessions, please refer to the Summer Timetable.
