Web Resources for Housing

The Campus Assistance Center

The Campus Assistance Center (CAC) is a resource for all issues about Madison and UW. It is helpful in locating apartments off-campus and on-campus. Please feel free to visit the Campus Assistance Center, it will provide relevant information on housing and availability.

Look under "SEARCH the housing listings" and input your preferences to generate a list. Question 1 allows you to search for a variety of housing options, including information about the people with an apartment who seek roommates. It is useful to consult the section map when responding to question 4. Text below the map gives information about distance from campus and bus information (most bus routes are free to UW students). To retrieve the list, click on "Create list" after question 6. University Housing

University housing is limited to shared double rooms. Some single rooms are available but are normally assigned to degree-seeking UW students. If you sign a contract for university, you are committed to the cost of the room for the full academic year, even if you move from the residence hall. Typically you can pay a fee that will release you from the contract after a semester and exempt you from paying for the other semester. Contact Amanda Hammatt if you would like to stay at the university residence halls. For further information on university housing, please visit University Housing.
