All students, regardless of maturity, disposition, previous experience abroad, or knowledge of the country in which they will be living, have some degree of stress in adjusting to a new cultural environment. While this adjustment period can be a stressful part of your time abroad, it is usually short-lived. You will find, like many others before you, that you'll grow from the experience and become a stronger and more independent individual because of it.
