Language requirement

Classes are taught in English. No foreign language requirement.

GPA requirement

3.0 cumulative (this can vary somewhat by institution)

Housing

On or off-campus housing is available. Most students live on campus while attending Monash University. On-campus housing is difficult to get at the University of Queensland, therefore most students have lived in apartments off campus. UQ will provide airport reception and short term housing upon arrival.

Application deadlines

  • Spring: October 1
  • Fall/Academic Year: March 1

Budget

Tuition and fees: approximately $4,150 per semester (based on AUS $7400)
UW program fee: $300
UW-mandated health insurance: $30/month
Housing: $1,375 semester
Meals: $1,100 semester
Miscellaneous expenses (laundry, books, supplies, etc.): $825
Roundtrip travel: $1,600
Local transportation: $50/month
Student visa: $175
Entertainment, vacation and travel costs vary widely.

Note: For Australia programs, tuition bills are generated through the office of International Engineering Studies & Programs, and not through the UW Bursar's office.
