China Summer Program, UW-Madison Engineering, IESP

College of Engineering Study Abroad Programs

YOU can study in China! Spend 8 weeks in Hangzhou, China, getting UW engineering credits.

Program details

Location: Hangzhou, China
Affiliated Institution: Zheijang University
Program Dates: Approximately June 2, 2008 — July 25, 2008
Language of Instruction: English
Courses: ME 361 (Thermodynamics) and EPD 397 (Technical Communication)
Total Credits: 6
Prerequisites: For ME 361: Math 234 and CS 310, ME 240 or EMA 202, or equivalent.
For EPD 397: EPD 155
Trips/Excursions: Guided tour of places of interest in the region, industrial and cultural visits (to be determined)
Housing: On-campus dormitory. Double rooms/shared bath
Meals: On-campus cafeterias and local restaurants.
Cost: Approximately $3200 (will vary due to exchange rate and number of participants) includes tuition, housing, health insurance, student ID card, and excursions.
Priority deadline: December 21, 2007, and after that date until the program is filled.
