Universidad Pontifica Comillas de Madrid
Universidad Politecnica de Madrid
Universidad del Pais Vasco

Brief Description

Spring semester or academic year. Details vary from program to program. Please see the school's website and/or Amanda Hammatt for further details.

Language requirement

Spanish 204 or its equivalent is required for participation in these exchange programs. Valencia does offer some classes in English. Spanish language classes are available at most schools.

GPA requirement

3.0 cumulative (this can vary somewhat by institution)

Housing

Some schools offer on-campus housing (dormitories). Many students live in apartments, arranged upon arrival. Please see the Global E3 or Spanish school's website for details of each school's housing opportunities.

  • Spring: October 1
  • Fall/Academic Year: March 1

Budget

Tuition and fees: University of Wisconsin-Madison tuition
UW program fee: $300
UW-mandated health insurance: $37/month
Housing: $300-$400/month
Meals: $350/month
Miscellaneous expenses (laundry, books, supplies, etc.): $1000
Roundtrip travel: $800
Local transportation: $60/month
Student visa: $100

Entertainment, vacation and travel costs vary widely. Host institutions may also require students to purchase their policies in addition to CISI.

Application

1) Apply to the university you want to attend no later than three months before your intended arrival in Spain.

For the University of Oviedo, apply online. Also note "Calendario Academico."

For the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, apply online.

For Universidad Pontifica Comillas de Madrid, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, or Universidad del Pais Vasco, apply through Global E3's electronic application form.

2) Complete the IESP Application Cover Sheet (PDF or Word).

3) Turn in recommendation letters, transcripts and all other required documents and the cover sheet to IESP.
