Language requirement

Swedish 204 or its equivalent is required for participation in these exchange programs. Students without this requirement may take an intensive Swedish language course offered at KTH during the month of August.

GPA requirement

3.0 cumulative (this can vary somewhat by institution)

Housing

On-campus housing (dormitories). Please see the Global E3 or the school's website for details of KTH's housing opportunities.

Application deadlines

  • Spring: October 1
  • Fall/Academic Year: March 1

Budget

Tuition and fees: University of Wisconsin-Madison tuition
UW program fee: $300
UW-mandated health insurance: $37/month
Housing: $2,500-$3,500/semester
Meals: $2,500/semester
Miscellaneous expenses (laundry, books, supplies, etc.): $2,000
Student Union fee: $60
Roundtrip travel: $900
Local transportation: $600/semester
Entertainment, vacation and travel costs vary widely.

Application

1) Complete Global E3's electronic application form online no later than three months before your intended arrival in Sweden.

2) Complete the IESP Application Cover Sheet (PDF or Word).

3) Turn in recommendation letters, transcripts and all other required documents and the cover sheet to IESP.
