Brief Description

Fall semester, spring semester, or academic year.

Language requirement

Classes are taught in English. No foreign language requirement.

GPA requirement

3.0 cumulative (this can vary somewhat by institution)

Housing

On-campus housing is available. METU will coordinate your housing.

Application deadlines

  • Spring: October 1
  • Fall/Academic Year: March 1

Budget

Tuition and fees: University of Wisconsin-Madison tuition
UW program fee: $300
UW-mandated health insurance: $37/month
On-campus Housing: $100-450/month
Off-campus Housing: $200-350/month unfurnished
Meals: $2,000/semester
Residence Permit: $20/academic year
Miscellaneous expenses (laundry, books, supplies, etc.): $900
Roundtrip travel: $900
Local transportation: $300/academic year
Student visa: $100
Entertainment, vacation and travel costs vary widely.

Application

Application forms: To apply, we recommend that students submit our electronic application form no later than three months before their intended arrival in Turkey.

Application materials can be found on the Global E3 website. Part one of the application should be completed on-line. Required documents (such as recommendation letters and transcripts) should be returned to the International Engineering Studies and Programs office. The IESP Application Cover Sheet (PDF or Word) should also be completed and turned in with documents.
