Schoofs Prize for Creativity
The Schoofs Prize for Creativity is
an annual competition that awards up to $10,000 to
undergraduate inventors.
Sponsored by the College of Engineering and held each year
in February, the Schoofs Prize recognizes undergraduate
students' technical and creative accomplishments. For

G. Steven Burrill Technology Business Plan Competition
This is a competition for UW-Madison students,
with cash prizes up to $10,000 for the market research and
business planning of technology-based new
business ventures. The goal is to encourage
cross functional student teams from different
schools and colleges to write technology-based

Steuber Prize for Excellence in Writing
The Steuber Prize awards up to $5,000 for outstanding writing of any type
and style by sophomore, junior, and senior students in the

Tong Prototype Prize
A supplemental prize to the Schoofs Prize for Creativity mentioned above.

Wunsch Materials Handling Prize
This annual writing contest awards $1,000 in cash prizes to the
best student papers on materials handling. It was created to promote
and reward the study of materials handling.

The Collegiate Inventors Competition
A national competition designed to encourage college students
active in science, engineering, mathematics, technology and creative
invention, while stimulating their problem-solving abilities.
While encouraging student/advisor relationships, innovations, and
creative problem solving, the Collegiate Inventors Competition
seeks to stimulate excitement and interest in technology and
economic leadership. Cash prizes as high as $20,000.
