Is there a degree program in aeronautical or aerospace engineering?

No. However, the Department of Engineering Physics offers an option in astronautics, which is aimed at students interested in the aerospace field. Also, many UW-Madison graduates from varying degree programs find employment in the aerospace industry. For example, mechanical engineering graduates design airframes and engines, engineering mechanics graduates do stress analyses, electrical engineering graduates design complex control and guidance systems, and civil engineering graduates design airports and spaceports.
