What are the foreign language requirements?

Two units of a foreign language are required for admission to the university, but college level courses are not required for an engineering degree. Students can opt to take foreign languages to satisfy liberal elective requirements.

Students interested in studying a foreign language may have the opportunity to study abroad under the supervision of the college's Office of International Engineering Programs. This office helps students arrange an individual, semester or year-long program of study in Germany, France, Japan, Mexico or other countries of interest. The office also coordinates summer employment abroad, through the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).
