International Baccalaureate

Listed here are IB exams for which credit policies have been established. Exams in subject areas for which credit policies have not yet been established are referred to the appropriate academic department for an individual recommendation. All of the exams refer to scores on Higher Level examinations only. IB examinations are graded on a scale of 1 to 7, with 7 being the highest.

Students with general questions about IB credit, or questions about placement and retro credit options in foreign language based on IB Higher Level exams, can contact the Office of Transfer and International Admissions, 432 North Lake Street, Room 325; telephone 608/262-2251.

(Subject to change in policy by UW-Madison Office of Admissions. Not all subjects contribute degree credit for any given engineering degree program)
