24. Resolution of an Incomplete

At the instructor's option, a course marked incomplete may be completed at any time no later than the last day of class of the student's next semester of resident attendance at UW-Madison, or it will lapse into a fail. An incomplete may not be removed after five years of absence from UW-Madison without special permission of the Dean. Such an incomplete remains on the record with a grade of PI and does not lapse into an F, N, or U.
