• Within the University of Wisconsin System
  The publication Tips for Transfers is an excellent guide for students currently attending a university within the University of Wisconsin System who would like to transfer to the UW-Madison, College of Engineering.

  After your admission to UW-Madison, additional information is available in the publication Transfer Student Admission Information, which is distributed by the University of Wisconin-Madison Office of Admissions.

  Documents and links especially for students entering UW-Madison College of Engineering who are not U.S. citizens.

International students entering the College of Engineering must have met the Communications "A" requirement. If transferring from outside the U.S., they must have a TOEFL score of 250 or more. These students will be required to take the Engineering Professional Development course EPD 155 to satisfy the Communications "A" requirement for the College of Engineering campus.

Students transferring from schools within the U.S. must have a course equivalent to our English 100. These courses will be reviewed on a course-by-course basis. Students may be required to take an English course here to meet the Communications "A" requirement.

• Engineering Study Abroad Course Approval Form
  This College of Engineering form describes how international course work applies to a College of Engineering course. The form must be approved by a course instructor and sent to the Transfer Coordinator.
